Spring Clean-up

April 30 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Every year, in the Spring, we take a day to clean the Half Moon Inn at 105 Court St. (Court St. & Centre Ave.), Newtown. It’s a time to put the Inn back to “right”, see neighbors and friends and also to make new friends!

Clean-up Day is Saturday, April 30th. We start at 8:30 AM and if you are not a morning person, it’s ok to wander in a little later than that!

We are looking for volunteers to help clean and polish the many antiques and furnishings at the Half Moon Inn. No experience is necessary, just a desire to help out for an hour or two to put the Inn back into form. As the saying goes, many hands makes light the work!

If you aren’t able to make it on Saturday and still want to help out, consider dropping off some paper towels, trash bags or cleaning supplies to be used. Items can be dropped off on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Callahan Research Center at 100 Mercer Street. or leave a message at the Half Moon Inn (phone: 215.968.4004) if you need to make other arrangements.

We appreciate all of the efforts, lovingly given by many volunteers over the years, to maintain the Half Moon Inn. Hope to see you on the 30th to continue this tradition!
