General Membership Meeting

“That’s Unusual: Funny and odd anecdotes about Bucks County’s history”

The General Meeting of the Newtown Historic Association will be held on Monday, October 16th at 7:30 PM at the Half Moon Inn (Court Inn), 105 Court St. Newtown.

The speaker will be Carl LaVO – the weekly history columnist for the Bucks County Courier Times and the Intelligencer. Mr. LaVO has had a 40 year career in journalism and has won numerous awards for writing, design and photography. His topic will be “That’s Unusual: Funny and odd anecdotes about Bucks County’s history – from Wrightstown and Doylestown to Newtown and Falls.” His current book “Bucks County Adventures: From William Penn and George Washington to Neil Armstrong” was published recently and he will also give some info about this.

All are invited and you don’t have to be a member to attend. There will be refreshments and social hour following the meeting. This will prove to be a very interesting and informative meeting. For further information call 215-968-3914 or email dcnhh@comcast.net
