Annual Garden Walk

June 19, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am

The Newtown Historic Association is hosting their annual Garden Walk on Saturday June 19th 2021. We will meet in the rear garden of the NHA headquarters Half Moon Inn, Court and Centre. Registration starts at 8:30 am. The walk will commence at 9:00 am and wend through the lovely streets of Newtown Borough and into parts of the Township. There are 15 garden stops and the walk will cover about three miles. We expect the walk to last about 2-3 hours.

As one of many not-for-profit organizations that took a hit during the Pandemic, we are trying to meet our obligations and have had to postpone several projects that are important to the preservation and celebration of Newtown’s historical heritage. We are asking a $10 donation which will go towards those obligations and in particular, the maintenance and improvements to the Boone Garden. This garden is owned by the NHA and is on Court St directly across from the Half Moon Inn. It will be featured on the Garden Walk.

There will be NHA promotional articles for sale. Please join us for a view of some very special gardens and to meet the very talented gardeners who created them. If you have any questions, please call Mary Jo Garner 215-858-0939 or Keyna Crawford 267-679-9287.
