Colonial Cooking with a Pinch of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math)

This event is being offered to students in grades 3 to 6 accompanied by an adult.

Join us to learn about open hearth cooking with some chemistry! Demonstrations will be led by Marianne Ferrarra from the Valley Forge Black Pots, and will involve wood, a bake oven, cooking over fire and coals, safety with fire and coals, spices and herbs, food prep, and the chemistry behind cooking and baking.

Students must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free, but please RSVP to Keyna Crawford at keynawcrawford@gmail.com so we know to expect you.
