Leave a Legacy
Contributions made by NHA members, family and friends over the
years have played a significant role in supporting, developing
and expanding the NHA facilities and programs. Without your support,
much of the progress we have made would not have been possible
and we would not have been able to continue to serve the ever
growing historically conscious Newtown community.
Federal tax laws make it possible to bypass income, gift, and
estate taxes on funds you donate for charitable purposes. This
can result in a lower income estate tax bill while you gain the
satisfaction of supporting causes in which you believe, such as
the NHA. In addition to the regular tax savings, the capital gains
tax on assets given for charitable use is entirely avoided. The
additional tax savings is the reason many people choose to make
their gifts in this way, in addition to the satisfaction they
receive for supporting their cause.
Contact the Newtown Historic Association (215-968-4004) at any
time if you have questions about the best ways to achieve your
charitable goals this year, or consult your tax advisor for more
information specific to your needs.
